  1. I’ve been out for a couple of hours & don’t have time to read all the posts but 7th Av. in the Slope is a mess. Saw 3 buses stranded in drifts between Lincoln & 11th St. & they’ve obviously been there since the storm was at its height. An ambulance took more than 15 minutes to go one block even w/ a couple of firemen trying to direct traffic. Side streets for the most part haven’t been touched & the plows have made really huge mountains.

  2. What if the greatest wine in the world could be mass produced and was cheap as water?

Duh, trick question. Wine isn’t about taste. It’s about scarcity. Wine connoiseurs pretend it’s about taste, but they’re lying, because they would never agree that a mass produced wine is delicious. [with the exception of the people who make it their business to vocally prove the scaricty lovers wrong]

  3. Years ago in college in the 80s someone showed up with a couple of bottles of wine that were supposedly repayment for a debt. More likely I bet they were stolen. One was a 1942 or something like that Italian table wine.

That was my first experience with “good” wine.

    It was, uh, very drinkable!

    Went down very very easily.

    It was delicious.

I wouldn’t pay $1,000 for it, but I would consider buying some promising wine now and keeping it for 50 years. Then again, I have a bad habit of drinking up all the promising wine now.

Does anyone own the LL Bean duckboots? I wanna order a pair but the sizing looks a little whacky.

Of course, all republicans own LL Bean duckboots.
