we bought a very very expensive rib roast (grass fed, etc) for xmas dinner because his newphew agreed to cook and now he is supposedly organic.
I forgot the red wines I had bought to bring over and sister-in-law only offered some white zin to drink with the very very expensive rib roast. I wanted to cry. or at least whine.
Mopar, maybe the shoveler (or was it more than one?) earned his/their bucks. A couple of hours doing heavy lifting in the cold for $33? Sure it’s more than $16/hour but who knows how long it took them to get a job. And if it was more than one person, I think you got a bargain.
“Dirty, what is that place doing there? Do they sell closed bottles to go like a liquor store?”
yeah – it’s like a little wine shop, so you can buy closed bottles and leave, or you can sit at the small 10 person bar and do tastings or just drink a bottle/glass.
ARkady – thanks for the report… it’s bad down here in south slope too!
and my damn boots are stuck due to emergency conditions according to the UPS site
my favorite wine is a Riesling! and I like port – yes I like sweet wines!
