lech- don’t tell them, let them find out on their own. Kids should be allowed to keep that sense of magic as long as they can. I say this as one sorely disappointed by the tooth fairy, who I firmly believed in until the morning I woke up and found my father with his hand under my pillow. It was a choice of either telling me the tooth fairy exists – in which case I would assume mt dad was trying to steal my money, or telling the truth- that he was putting the quarter there. Either way- a rude awakening 🙁
One of the short people I’m related to is 6, and has figured out that there can’t be a Santa Claus, and is very rational about it. Explained to me that it’s just not possible to get all those presents to all those homes in one night. I was a little sad they thought that already. For me, it was a really fun, nice thing to believe in for a bit. I don’t think I’ve ever really let go of that slightly magical feeling at Xmas. Maybe I don’t have it as much as I did when I was younger, given the trials and tribulations of being an adult. But I hope I never lose it entirely.

I see the day began with tree puns. I am not making any so as not to affronde anyone.
I wonder if Obama makes puns. It was CGar who got me started on comparisons with Biff and the president. Sorry. :-). I ran out of comparisons by now.
Kens, have a good time in Europe.

Sup Losers! Just stopping to say hello. Off to Europe for 10 days now. Have a good time at the Holiday Party! See you all later.
“I guess Slopey has something that Cobble wants!”
No. I just felt like saying that. I just like Slopey, I think he’s a great guy. I like the way he thinks/is.

I can’t make lunch tomorrow.
Is there going to be a lunch club tomorrow? I have the day off and could make it.
