  1. My umbrella is really big. It makes me fell kind of self-conscious because I take up more space than a New Yorker should take up walking down the street. I’m not a tourist from Texas. I got the umbrella at the Morefar golf course the week the Bear Stearns real estate funds blew up in 2007.

  2. My company’s promotional umbrella is monstrous. It was the closest at hand this am, so took it.

I managed to get it open, but was so huge against the wind that I had to close it or do a Mary Poppins. But then it really started to rain, so I tried to open it and couldn’t.
Then I was holding it on the train while sitting and it fell on a lady’s foot.

I arrived at work with jacket and hair very wet and a mess.

Moral: Better to use a $4 street job then those ridiculous things. Also don’t use them for promotion. I think the lady on the subway took down the name of the company.

  3. quote:
You don’t need consent from all 60+ units in your building to get FIOS. If they don’t want it, guess what, they don’t sign up for it.

i didnt SAY that. i say getting consent from sending some random dude at fios your supers contact info, and the manager’s info, and the owners private info.. no, sorry that’s shady. they could easily find that out on their own. let them do their own damn jobs if they wanna get fios into underserved neighborhoods.

  4. im not being passive aggressive. i just don’t think it’s wise to give out all that private information to some giant company like that. especially since it’s just one specific person’s email. i wouldnt be shocked if that person is working on commission.
