Denton – that’s the point -I use my weekly checks to pay for groceries/gas/drug store buys and on the rare occasion that $3.00 brownie from NAidre’s! – I certainly am not putting it my savings account and the measly $350 a week I am getting isn’t paying my mortgage either – that is being paid OUT OF the savings account – UGH!
IJ – it was soooo weird, like a downpour of rain and swirly winds – be careful out there
Legion, that’s really a very sad story. I wouldn’t even know how to react to something like that if I saw it, other than jumping in to try to help the woman. I visualize that happening to my grandmother, and find it very disturbing.

-They throw out amaazing stuff and have kick ass stoop sales and put lots of good stuff out for free
Totally true, never go curb shopping in the hood,

Very true. Most people will put up with having their purses periodically picked by tupper ware parties or gold parties in which they lose a couple of hundred dollars, but they will not put up with losing $5 dollars in change because they left their car doors unlocked.
For the most part people are prettier (i dont agree with this one tho)
Better made up, but there seems to be a larger number of “hot” individuals in the hood. Depends on what you’re into.
Less chance of running into dogs off the leash
True, or packs of wild dogs.
Less change of stepping in dogshit
True, see above.
Less chance of your dog choking on the food discards on the sidewalk
True, in the hood, people don’t seem to know how to keep the trash in the containers.
People are more likely to come and visit (but they will usually stay too long)
Yes.
“fugly and dark as sin with those energy efficient lights. ugh it’s christmas, the universe could splurge a little on it’s energy for our visual entertainment.”
Legion – that’s a strange story – I wonder why the boys would have tripped her purposely? at least you were there shopping for cheap stuff to be able to help her
