Yeah, like every single scene (except for the acid trip at the end, that was more like a Pink Floyd music video).

  2. rf, am not into games so it’s definitely for the kid. plus he not liking fact I’m play with HIS ipad too often. so this game console would really be a replacement b’day gift for his ipad.

  3. m4l, I think the wii has more little-kid games, and it’s cheaper. Unless of course it’s really for you! Plus it’s cool to stream movies (and tons of cartoons!) from Netflix to the TV.

  4. lech,

That’s why Stanley Kubrick is a cinema genius,
    that set design is astounding.
There are scenes that look better than the best
Computer Generated Imagary today. Even looking at
Star Wars which came along 10 years later, when
you match them up, I’d have to say the set design
    in 2001 beats Star Wars.
Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979) has that also.
    It’s totally watchable today.
I was raving for months that the stupid cable guide gave
Alien 3 1/2 stars. It was on recently again and I noticed they changed it to the 4 stars it deserved. A landmark.

There’s a period film by Stanley Kubrick, Barry Lyndon.
He “invented” his own lens or something just to film the scenes in that movie that takes place in the 1700’s and early 1800’s. The candle light scenes are unrivaled.

  5. M4L, I think it’s Tasty Dumpling on Mulberry. On the East side of Columbus Park. I’m sure they aren’t the best around, but it was a surprisingly good spontaneous find for a quick snack on our way to the park. We then walked home over the BK Bridge from there. The Champs are gamers when it comes to walking!
