I’m an action sci-fi junkie so I LOVE those big CGI scenes.
Ok am back – Man it’s FRIGGIN HOT OUT THERE!
RF -thank you, I don’t think I qualify for WIC? Are those food stamps? Am still collecting the “Dole” until probably end of December than have to wait to see if I get an extension. I have enough money to pay all the bills until April then it gets scary. I am wondering if I will get a good tax refund back this year considering #1 I bought a condo in June #2. They took out 50% in taxes from my severance and #3, am unemployed so I can deduct all my medical costs
RF – I will consider a babysitter for sure when we finally get out of the house.

Lech, Legion- totally agree with you re the movies. I find the love of CGI movies is unreal- while 2001 was not only extremely beautiful visually, but felt real. Anyone see the second transformer movie? CGI gone wild- it was unwatchable. Alien made me ill. it was so real. You just got sucked right into the stress.

Well time *is* relative, but I thought about the movie more as a meditation on human potential.
Anyways Kubrick never said what he intended the message to be. He always deflected questions on the message and said it was purposefully open to interpretation.
