when i move i usually throw out all my belongings except for electronic equipment and clothes so it’s not that much really. when i moved from one apt in harlem to another in harlem (about 10 blocks away) i just kept going back and forth with stuff in a granny cart and rolley suitcase
Only Moishe’s did the extortion thing. But not with the furniture. I was all moved in. Tipped them. GENEROUSLY. They left. 10 minutes later they came back to my apartment, and these 6 burly Israelis, who are much taller than me (hard to imagine, right?) surrounded me and told me I hadn’t tipped them enough and demanded more money.
I vaguely remember this Snipes thing. He didn’t file. It wasn’t that he made a mistake or was late. He just didn’t file. More than once. And supposedly he owed 2.7 million. And he said that it was a tenth of that. And then fought the IRS. And then didn’t show up for court dates, basically gave Uncle Sam the finger. He was convicted two years ago but he appealed since one of the jurors was a screwball.
JB, Butterfly Affair – hehe

Tax evaders are pretty socially acceptable criminals.

you people do a lot of moving. and probably have too much stuff.
Last time I moved (2 blocks) in 1986, I put all my belongings in back of friends car.
“the last time i moved i found two jamaican dudes on craigslist to move my stuff, myself and my dog.”
You needed someone to move “yourself”? You couldn’t figure out the directions to your new place?

Hubris, pure hubris.
“He should do some “Blade” sh*t and escape.”
