  1. Don’t like sweet potatoes either- and hate pecans in anything. Never had rutabaga but I’m guessing I probably wouldn’t like them either.

Cobble- know how you feel. Been a long, depressing day.

  2. I just started listening to WFUV 90.7. The reception isn’t great (from Fordham in the Bronx, using my daughter’s obsolete ipod clock radio that doesn’t work for her latest ipod) but really good music. Makes me want to find those speakers to plug into the laptop.

  3. Ishtar- share that cornbread stuffing recipe????? I do a thanksgiving Friday dinner because my sister goes to her in-laws on Thursday night.

I have an electric oven and ever since I began using it -when I moved into this apartment- my turkey has been the best. The oven seems to cook the turkey so fast it doesn’t have time to dry out. Ask MM and Amzi. Best.

  4. “if you are unemployed for 99 weeks dont you question that youre going about it the wrong way? ”

OMFG. I’m so effing tired of reading this crap today. Just shut up, Rob. Please. Just…shut…the…hell…up.

  5. uggh, who eats canned cranberry sauce? That shit is nasty! Especially when all you have to do is dump a bag of cranberrys in water with sugar, boil, then chill.

I don’t know why but don’t like sweet potatoes. Altho I’d prefer them to the rutabaga my parents made.

  6. Rob – also you have to take into consideration and I know you can appreciate this fact. But like Bxgrl said – there are SO many more people now competing for 1 job. On average, most hiring managers receive 100 resumes through applications sent via a website to their email inbox. Now, I know this sounds mean – but do you think those HR people are really looking at each resume that is sent – HELLS NO – they are maybe opening up 20 emails and then picking 5 people out of that 20 to actually invite for an interview. Then what seems to be a weird phenomena starting to play out is that many hiring mangers don’t want to hire someone who IS jobless – so that’s a bit scary!
