Denton, my remark about education was only to clarify that those without jobs were not just unskilled workers. I didn’t mean anything else by it.
Rob, this is one of those topics that it would have been better that you just apologized for being an idiot and moved on. Everything you’ve said since had only made it worse. Of course people who have ben unemployed for 2 years have been trying other industries, other ways of finding work. You are sorely lacking in the empathy category.
“DH – you know, I want to try that – I never did the Turkey sandwhich thing the next day. It was always just more plates of Leftovers straight through sunday – then by Sunday I usually made a sauce with meatballs b/c we were so sick of eating Tgiving dinner every meal!”
it’s awesome! just throw a little turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and gravy on a few slices of bread and you’re good to go!
droool – i love stuffing
also, for the record, i prefer canned cranberry sauce as well.
Jester – I wouldn’t say “easy” – Tgiving dinner starts at 9am and I am standing and chopping and seasoning and cooking until 2ish – straight – not sitting on my butt like my husband does all day asking “When can we EAAAAAAAT??”
I put brandy in my cranberry.
My stuffing takes hours & many pans. All the sides are very time-consuming. Just peeling those little pearl onions is a lot of labor.

Bxgrl – I welcome the Change! The business I was in for 12 years is going down the tubes anyway
I do a lot the day before. Cranberry, pie crust, stuffing, prep vege, etc.

Good God man!
Gem- not at the end of your career- maybe a sea change.
rob- what Cobble said. Can’t wait for karma to bite you in the ass.
Turkey soup from the carcase is also terrific.

ENY – SO true – but I am 35, I can’t be at the end of my career already!
