“The “War Crimes Museum” in Ho Chi Minh City was quite interesting. Of course you can imagine who committed all of these crimes!!!!”
“I have some pictures from that place. We were quite foolish and graphic with some of our poses.”
Ishtar = Lynnde English??
benson — have you gotten out to hear music? It’s been 12+ years so I don’t know what clubs remain, but Fritzel’s was great to hear good New Orleans jazz and not gussied up for tourists. Right on Bourbon Street but immune to the silliness. Also, if you have a free morning, get the Time Picayune first thing, look in the obits for one denoting “jazz funeral” and get your ass and umbrella over there (actualy, forget the umbrella and just watch). Not impolite — they want a crowd and you and your borsalino will be welcome. Don’t know how long that tradition will last so worth seeing.
benson: i normally agree with a lot of what you say, but i disagree with you about museums. the world war 2 museum in new orleans provides jobs (probably a little better than minimum wage jobs) to people in the area and lures in visitors. i dont really see that as a bad thing and i dont think it matters much that new orleans doesnt have much history in terms of that actual war.
Dibs, I think Home Depot is selling Do It yourself Squirrel taxidermy craft kits. Can you pick me up one?
That just conjured a visual that will forever haunt me.
On second thought, maybe I’ll just get popcorn and watch bxgrl and benson go at it!!!!!
DH, Me Me Me. no transfer involved Mon-Thurs. 1 to 2 transfers on Fri (depending on C or G train)
“unofficial survey – who here who lives in brownstone brooklyn doesn’t have to transfer trains to get to work in the AM?”
