  1. People have engaged in the organized study of philosophy for over two thousand years. It is the foundation of all learning. Mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology…. all things that you could have studied ages ago ago.

“Political science?” “Communications?” “Sociology?” All things that have been made up quite recently. All products of the 20th century American post-high school system of mass produced diplomas.

  2. To each his or her own, of course, but to me, a degree in Sociology is an excellent springboard for entering a myriad (*rob*, that was for you 🙂 of career pathways including but not limited to business, industry, and organizations. The sociological perspective, of which I spoke earlier with regard to Slopey, is critical for working in today’s multiethnic and multinational business environment.

Social factors such as gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, education, and social class affect work and how organizations operate in every conceivable way.

    This is ridiculous. I’m out.

  3. I didn’t have any water stains. They can be a bitch…usually the wood needs to be replaced.

He did 2 patches for me upstairs…strip oak and did a nice job, varying the lengths used, nut just the size of the missing pieces (there there must have been a door post or something).
