Lechacal, are you under the impression that only girls major in social sciences? I had almost all male professors when I went to college (although that was a very, very long time ago).
We paid full tuition for da kid to go to a private college. We were well aware she’s not the hard science type. We tried to have some influence on the coursework but never put our foot down about it. Not right to wield money in that fashion, imo.

Um, I majored in poly sci rf, so no, I don’t think only girls study this stuff.
You are in academe at the school & you go into NYC for broader horizons.
