According to Wikipedia, private gun ownership in China is prohibited.

Do you think North Korea, Nazi Germany, Stalinist USSR, fascist Italy and the current Chinese government are all worried about gun safety? Do you think they are trying to keep people from accidentally hurting each other? Or from holding up liquor stores?

Is that why? Just a concern for public safety?

Is that why the British tried to prohibit private gun ownership shortly before the American colonials revolted? To keep us safe?

I was trying to find out how far you carry the logic as far as right to bear arms. but you are now reverting to stupid slogans when I was just trying to figure out how absolute/basic the right is.
Especially now in days of terrorism – what constitutes restricting that right?
registration, ID to own, what weapons can own and who decides what is criteria for which weapons,
carrying weapons, loaded, where can carry, concealed or not, etc etc etc.

A. It’s not like you’re limited to Brooklyn Heights if you move there. You CAN cross Atlantic Avenue, where there are plenty of bars in Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill with singles. Sheesh.
