  1. i am late to this but

“The people have sent a clear message to Washington. Let’s hope those we newly elected get to work on what matters.”

wasn’t that the case on Nov 2008, when Obama won and dems took control of both houses of congress? well, it seems that the repubs didn’t feel the need to respect the mandate of the people and have spent the last 2 years doing nothing but saying NO and obstructing. It is so sad how quickly people forget the past and how blatant the double standards are.

i’m so done with politics after this one. its just plain rotten.

You could say the same thing about a person.”

No, wrong, and that’s the point: Humans are capable of transmitting information to each other. If you do something nice for someone they can describe it to other people, write it down, etc. A pet just thinks nice things about you inside its head and can never explain it to anyone else and can’t write it down, and when they die all of their nice thoughts about you die too.

  3. “When your pet dies, all of its affection for you dies with it. It is incapable of describing it or transmitting information about it to anyone else. All of those memories just die. So why the investment in making your pet like you?”

would we spare Matt a little since his brother used to be our back-up qb

What? NO! What the hell for? There is no loyalty to never-was, also-ran backup QB’s! NFL football is a MAN’S game, M4L.

Off topics – Does anyone have an opinion about the new Nat’l Grid home energy audit offer?

they are a rip off and always leave nasty little green cards on peoples doors when they dont pay their bills. con-ed isn’t as hardcore when/if you cant pay them. also isnt that embarrassing? to leave a note on your door saying we are shutting off your blah blah blah cuz you are $certain amount passed due? wtf? ive seen it in my building. id never switch to national grid.

I don’t understand why people get pets. You just have to feed it and pick up its shit, and it doesn’t carry on your genes and is probably just a dumb ball of fur. What’s the attraction?

troofuses. i will never, in this lifetime, ever get another pet again. but i got one and im stuck with it, and he is a great dog. the Universe (she’s a bitch) connected us together and it is what it is. but would i ever voluntarily get another pet again? oh hells no. it’s like women who have a kid and say omg they are WONDERFUL and THEY CHANGE YOUR LIFE! bitch please, my grandmother was flat out honest with me, they ruin your life and make shit difficult.
