Rubio is great–but of course he will be tarred soon enough as a dope by the Park Slope crowd.
By blowfish on November 2, 2010 12:30 PM, would you admit that Ronald Reagan was an intellectual? That’s the baseline. If you can’t, then your assessment of Palin has no credibility.
I’ll say this about Palin.
I’ve been watching her on the campaign
trail recently and she seems to be getting
alot more polished and contemplative in her
interviews.
She seems to be learning and quite quickly.
If she’s planning on a Presidential run,
she needs to read a few presidential
biographies and more on history. I’m sure
she’s being tutored day and night.
To dismiss her as “anti-intellectual”
is to miss her power.
She is powerful precisely because she taps
into the spirit of American individualism.
This is very powerful, Reagan had that too.
And she does have an ability to connect
in speech which makes her that much more
potent. Hillary, does not have either of those
two traits, just to give an example of a
“Left” Presidential hopeful.
I have not been paying attention to Marco Rubio until recently. Have you seen the video he produced for his campaign? It literally moved me to tears when he recounts what this country means to him, as the child of immigrants who came from an oppressive regime.
I hear talk that he has the potential to be the “Hispanic Ronald Reagan”.
cobble–without question Sarah Palin is my least favorite politician to come on the scene since Reagan. I feel confident in saying that she thinks opposite to me in practically every measurable issue or attitude. And yet, I agree that it only strengthens her when we spazz out with demeaning names to refer to her. We don’t need to prove her point for her that all of us librul elites are out to get her. She will do a plenty good job of making an ass out of herself if she does run for the Presidency.

Ringo, do you thing I said feminism is fascism? EPIC reading comprehension fail. Dumbass.
Legion, my friend;

All I can think about today is sex. I’m like 16 all over again. This election is not enagaging my thoughts at all.
lunch was very good. had battered fish filet that was slightly fried with string beans & ground pork.
no bonus no raise and there’s layoffs (deja vu all over again)
that all equates to time to kiss major ass
