Annoys me that many people refer to midwest as the ‘heartland’. I think heartland is where the country and culture originated from. Like the first 13 states.
The east coast in the heartland. Country just spread out from there. And acccording to some the tend to spread out quite a bit in the midwest.

Wow – France is NOT playing around with these strikes. My mom leaves next week to visit friends in Marseilles – I hope she can still go
Ok this weather is HORRID – I read the storm that tore up the midwest though was the lowest pressure on record in the US -not sure what that even means – but it’s awful here in NYC
Speaking of republicans and calendars, my birthday is coming up right after elections and I’m expecting a nice election day present!!!!
