I find the French “take to the streets” approach to expressing every form of political idea odd. As though they were protesting to an imaginary king.”
They’ve been doing it for ages. The French and other catholic peoples revolt and get violent. The English and other protestants tend instead to reform.
Anyone watch “God in America” on Channel 13 last night? It was really fascinating regarding the history of how protestantism spread through the country in the early days and how the NY Public school system was created by the Evangelicals! And when the Irish starting coming in the mid 1800’s, the residents of NYC were outraged b/c they were Catholic and arriving in droves and were perceived as demonic etc
M4L, I am serious; if ever you want to go out for a little Sunday brunch, or come over with your wife and son you are welcome and I can tell your wife about brownstone ownership. Very nice, but place can be a terrorist sometimes.
that is good, dibs. I just know name of Cuomo running mate is Duffy (I think) from seeing signs. Had no idea who he was or anything.
Very interesting article in NYTimes yesterday on Paladino/Cuomo and being Italian-American.

I watched most of it, missed the first half hour or so. Fascinating. I learned quite a bit!

Keep it up, Rob.
One thing about the French, they do throw fun strike parties the night before.
