  1. I don’t see Catholic Ireland in the streets, or Southern Catholic Germany in the streets, or Catholic Italians in the streets. It is a French thing. They go to the streets; I find it so odd, behavior of subjects.

    The idea of eparation of Church and State predates the US and was driven by opposition to established religion (e.g. Church of England in England, Catholic Church in pre-revolutionary France). Not a Protestant / Catholic distinction per se.

  3. Super is going in to check my windowsills after the hailstorm.
    Before buying the place I never thought much about how much I needed to have good (or any) building staff. Realize now that my life would be much more difficult without them & I really lucked out.
    Will be asking you all for tip guidelines as Christmas approaches.
