maybe gem was thinking of amherst college (that small liberal arts school for ivy league rejects) and not UMass – Amherst.
OK gem well I went to both of those schools you mentioned. The first one you mentioned is totally not a LI jewish school but the second one totally is.

Never heard that about UMass – but Boston University always had the LI Jewish tag (same with Tulane in Nola)

Avett Brothers have always been below my radar. I HATE seated concerts. What’s the capacity at Radio City? Much more respect for up and coming acts who could fill seats, but opt to play two nights at a smaller venue. Thumbs down to The National, Vampire Weekend, MGMT and the YYYeahs for playing at Radio City this year. Hahaha.
And no doubt when The Strokes come to town (who i still like, don’t hate) – they will play MSG.
What ever happened to Hammerstein Ballroom and Roseland? There used to be quite a few good shows there.

You know what I will say about the Irish
they have got a CRAZY language!
Gaelic or Celtic or whatever they spoke/speak is nutso
I mean most of the words sound NOTHING like they are spelled – I mean NOTHING
talk about secret squirrels – Dona was right – they really didn’t want outsiders understanding them at all
