that’s how I ended up in engineering school instead of NYU. NYU was 35k/yr all-in vs engineering school was full scholarship. but in hindsight, should’ve gone to NYU as I would’ve been in banking like my buddies.
Wow, really have to question what kind of education is worth a $100k plus loan. Not meaning vs not attending college at all, but vs going somewhere cheaper.
I do feel for many NYU students b.c of the loans that many graduate with have
and mind you – am not talking kids from wealthy families
my HS friend went to undergrad there and is starting to pay back her 100K student loan
same with my cousin who has $120K loan
it’s like a mortgage
NYU is one thieving institution. I have a bunch of friends who were lured there with generous aid packages that were scaled back every year until they were forced to take out tens of thousand in loans to finish their last two years of school. They’re all extremely bitter and have said they’ll never donate a dime to NYU.

Some liberal arts schools are.

Love that NYU absorbed Polytechnic and thereby injecting tons of cash into downtown BK area
