legion – sorry I re-read your post and I see the point you were making
i just got crazy myself b/c I hate getting into abortion arguments with right wingers
Dave, your eternal blaming of unions and government for the failures of just about everything is really getting tired. If unfettered capitalism and the goodwill of the marketplace is so hot, how come they haven’t taken it upon themselves to cure more of our country and society’s ills? Built a few bridges, hospitals, funded some health care, paid some tuitions or built some schools?
OSHA regulations, and unions have their place, and exist because they are needed to assure safety and worker’s rights. Not saying things can’t be tweaked for the better, but to act as if they are responsible for overruns is absurd. If you eliminated the gov’t agencies and the unions, you’d still have cost overruns, and inflated pricing and delays, because EVERYONE ELSE has their hands in the till and their fingers holding the clock back. The whole system is flawed, not just the unions and gov’t.
the President is just not getting it,
he’s setting himself up for a big fall.
where Clinton started to move from center left to
center after 1994,
Pres. Obama is clearly signaling a dig in and
take it on the chin mind set.
At some point, he’ll realize he’s not just fighting
the Republicans but the American people themselves.
His economic advisory team has jumped ship as
has his right hand man Rahm.
Halperin in Time magazine is saying he’s beginning
to look like he’s in over his head.
LEGION!
there is not a WOMAN ALIVE that would have an abortion at 8 months b/c she wanted to terminate that pregnancy just because…. – what a ridiculous statement.
and please spare us all the anti-abortion crap – pick another board to rant on about that
I can argue politics and listen to your thoughts but please don’t get all nuts over abortion
>babs…makes large and sweeping pronouncements on the intelligence or psychological fitness of half the country based on their opposition to her world viewr
What’s really funny is that I was doing the exact opposite – what I said waz that I am amazed at how two apparently similar people can come to diametrically opposed conclusions about the same issues/events (speaking primarily about the posters on this site). In reply to dibs’s comment that most of the country regards NYS as a looneybin, I replied that I feel the same way about the rest of this country, again using the appropriate level of response to schoolyard insult-flinging.
mopar, I’d definitely go postal if I had to drive one. Driving behind them is bad enough. The drivers are so fat and lazy that they can’t even pull the buses over to the side.

If you want to see a real raging bull market, take a look at soybeans, wheat, corn. USDA reports very bullish.
