  1. Lechecal, if fighting other people’s issues means a better world for everyone, it works for me. Your cynical amusement at all of us screaming below your exalted gaze is really getting old. Please go find some other puppets to play with, these strings have been cut.

  2. I still think Cuomo will be worse for the state. Nothing will change. the state and all the incumbent morons in Albany will continue on their happy road to destrying the state further.

like I said, i really don’t care that much as I’ll likley no longer be a NYS resident in a few years anyway.

Carry on paying the highest taxes in the country!!!!!!!

  3. gemini10,
I will not comment further on the abortion issue.
I realize it is charged with many difficult and painful
    connotations.

    as I stated earlier,
I don’t think that Paladino was right in inserting his religious views into the election.

I also don’t think it’s right to blast the “right” over his views in a sweeping condemnation of all things Republican.
Two can play at that game.

I also stated that I don’t think Paladino’s chances are good in NY.

  4. “it was wrong for them to be discriminated against”

Dave not being able to get married is being discriminated against. There is no other way to interpret this. It may not matter to you personally and that is fine but he can’t say that he doesn’t believe them to be parenting material or that they shouldn’t get married and then in the same breath say he doesn’t think they should be discriminated against. ITs absurd.

Legion–I really don’t know how you are conflating Paladino’s stance on gay marriage with abortion rights. This is not an intellectual exercise and I wish you could see how heartless and cruel you sound because I know in person you are not that way.

  5. I’m not defending him. I’m saying his views on this don’t really have that much of an effect on me. He’s not going to turn back time on gay rights and, like I said below, the fate of gay marriages isn’t in the hands of governors, it’s in the hands of the courts.

Like I said, he’s got the typical viewpoint of an old school Italian catholic. He’s got gays in his family and will have them in his administration. He never said the bigotted things that bigots say. I’m sure a lot of other politicians both Dems & reps think far more bigotted thoughts and are too scared to ever say them.
