  1. “Liberals: fighing other people’s fights as a means to get their way on other issues since 1900.”

When someone express hatred for a group of people based on who they are, it’s everyone’s fight.

  2. We shall see Dave, we shall see. I think Cuomo is going to press Paladino’s buttons, and it won’t take much to do that, and he’s going to go off and say something, or many things, that will be incredibly stupid and have even his own handlers holding their heads and groaning.

  3. The unborn have no civil rights- they are unborn. do you not understand this legion? Perhaps one of the lawyers on the site can explain this to you. And your comparison is off base- abortion is a private matter and women have a constitutional right to one

    bxgrl,
I’m attempting to end this discussion,
    but if you persist,
I can link to a 3-dimensional sonogram and
    start the scientific debate.

    I would prefer not to.

    Wasder,
my initial reason for stating the rights of the unborn stem from a very real case in Illinois in which the President himself was involved when he was a Senator.
I don’t want to go on, but let me just say that the debate is not over on the idea of a human in the womb having rights.
Bxgrl is clearly wrong on that one since people are often charged with double homicide when they murder a woman who is pregnant.

  4. I don’t want to get married. like I said, i have a partnership agreement in PA…that’s all I need.

I think the courts will uphold the law that gays will be able to get married. Like I said, it’s not an issue for 50 different governors to have 50 different viewpoints on.

Once any governor vetos it, it goes to the courts. That’s what our REPUBLIC is based on.

  5. Here’s the quote:

“It is amazing how polarized people in this country have become, even when they are seemingly from similar upbringins and socio-economic status. To me it is amazing that educated, cultured, worldly individuals could even for a fraction of a second consider that people like Carl Paladino and his ilk should even be taken seriously, let alon believe they can actually competently run this state and country without destroying our personal freedoms and backtacking the social progress made over the last forty years.”

Not saying anything about there being anything inherently wrong with Paladino supporters, only that I am amzaed at their existence. Yes, to me it “natural” to repudiate his line of thinking, but apparently not so for others, who, even when their candidate comes out with pronouncements directly attacking their lives, find a way to make excuses for him. Not saying anyone here is dumb or anything like that (quite the opposite), merely that I just do not get it.
