I didn’t want to mention it yesterday, but I have in my Afam-Lit/mid-century protest lit collection a book entitled ‘Oreo’. By a woman named Fran Ross, it was published in 1974 and was her only novel. It was a minor cult classic, a real satire, and so was re-released by a university press in 2000. Here’s a link to something about it…
I think it’d be great if benson, donatella and i were to travel to Japan together.
I would PAY you both for that priviledge. Benson and I could play video games in Akihabara until it’s time to go dinner to the great sushi places I know and then we can all go to to the boy clubs Dibs knows about in Shinjuku.
Then after that, we could go to one of those after after hours places that Benson’s Tokyo coworkers take him to. We could go sightseeing and dibs could sit in the giant Buddha’s lap. I can’t wait!!
2:45 -It’s been around for hundreds of millions of years, it’s actually downright primative. *rob*
And like visiting France on the Internet! hahaha, Rob, too much!
Rob, you are really a kick. I agree with the people here who say there ought to be a list of “robisms”. If there were one compiled from all the comments on brownstoner, choosing the best, there would be enough for a book. I think professional comedian is your true calling.
I didn’t want to mention it yesterday, but I have in my collection several Oreo Speedwagon LP’s.
Calling Snappy! There’s a Brooklyn Based article in Closing Bell for “picky eaters”. >>>

Is the quiet car similar to the short bus?
OK, so, since I am now the official keeper of PLUSA birthdays, I will require your official birthday submissions by COB tomorrow.
Here’s a revised list of Librarians:
donatella
Legion
Adam Dahill
Kens
etson
Denton
me
Have I missed any Librarians this time? (God knows I won’t forget donatella again, thought the whole September thing had me thinking Virgo.)
“Also, the quiet car is for a very special sort of obsessive compulsive person. They’re really nutjobs in that car, for the most part.”
Or writers?
