  1. “The problem with retiring to these third world countries is you eventually get bored. they don’t offer the diversiins and lifestyle that you’ve come to know here in the U.S.”

I was mulling over that in the Flips. With internet and video connections a lot of the pain is removed. However, the lack of diversity of restaurants is an issue. And then you have to consider that the country is likely corrupt so you’ll have to pay off the local police chief.

Depsite how much i think I’d love retiring in bangkok, I’d be bored to tears after about 3 weeks.

  3. Unanimity on 100 Remsen. A rarity here. Ummmm, what about that second “bedroom”?

m4l, CDog thanks you, though, as I posted yesterday in COTD, I’m getting ready to give up on elusive outdoor space. Besides, if I buy right off the promenade, or in 1BBP, I have plenty of outdoor space. I’d like to see this place — Parlor Floor certainly works for CDog.

  4. Rob, third world poverty is unlike anything anyone suffers here. The poorest people in this country live like kings compared to some of these places. The slums in Kingston, Jamaica will break your heart, and those are marginally better than places like Calcutta. No one should live like that.
