11217 – not that I was following this too closely, so apologies if I get this wrong, but wasn’t it just last week in the thread for the new cupcake shop that people were complaining about the dearth or proper bakeries in the Slope?
That was hilarious, 11217. She’s so pissed- mostly because she doesn’t seem to like factual information. I would have been thanking you for giving em all that information.
arkady — my rosebush this summer had both light pink and deep red blooms. Henry VI, parts 1-3 all through June-July in my backyard. But I think that is a grafting issue. Some websites suggested the need to cut those coming from the original stock, but I don’t know why it would matter. Now, if I get a tudor rose next year, that will be something.
Meanwhile, I will never, ever, ever again plant a trumpet creeper. Damn thing sends out rhizomes everywhere and won’t flower. But I did get the bindweed under control finally.
Jessi, I think it is not necessarily OUR technology but it is the world’s state of the art coal burning power plant technology. What we are talking about are coal burning power plants which are fitted with the latest technology to suck sulfur and metals out of the exhaust (scrubbers) and to remove some of the carbon emissions, sequestering (storing) it in different ways.
I don’t really think tiptoe thought I was a woman. I think she used “she” as much as possible because in her sugar soaked brain, it was a terrible insult to call me a woman.
She’s self loathing because apparently she *needs* a bakery closer to her house than a 58 second walk.
I was never much of a novel reader until a few years ago. Then I found they were better than TV at distracting me from work stress in the evenings. Now I have much less work stress but I mostly kept up with the reading.

slopefarm,
Altman?
Nashville and M.A.S.H.
we’ll have to discuss
those over a beer.
what movie is that based on Carver?
and you wonder why no movies were
ever made based on Saul Bellow’s works.
