It is not the coal, jessi, but “scrubbers”, machinery which facilitates the process of removing many pollutants. China would choke to death if they didn’t have bleeding edge coal generation technology. China has massive coal reserves itself, the most in the world, but it is importing our high BTU coal (Capp coal).
