    Some examples of liberals:

There is a lot more out there.

Surely the liberals here will tell us these people don’t represent their views. And surely they understand that fringe conservatives likewise do not represent the conservative mainstream.

EXACTLY. And yet they will continue to argue further saying so-and-so is not smart enough to argue back at them!!! Sad.

  2. quote:
Rob -I’m a gemini – air signs stick together: – do you know the rest of your chart

yeah my moon is in Libra and my rising sign is Pisces. also, one of the reasons new comers, specifically younger white ones might not say hello to old timers as much because many times they are actually are greeted back with hostility. i nodded hello once to someone in harlem and was greeted back with “fucking faggot” lol. kinda makes you not really wanna say hello to anyone in the neighborhood anymore.

    *rob*

I understand that perfectly, Lech. When I refer to the conservative “nutjobs” I am referring to the radical rightwing. I wish there were more Republican moderates and centrist out there who are willing to work for the good of the country but many of them are in races against the extremists and some have already been knocked out of the race.

legion- you aren’t smart enough to argue like MM or I.

Now that’s ad hominem if I ever saw it.

And he’s the one with the M.D. which it may be argued is not as erudite as ,say, a PhD in Middle Ages English Literature but it requires far more brain power and long hours of study than do most PhD programs.

  5. l Oh yeah, we have the “WORST” system in the world, nevermind that leaders from around the world come here for treatment.

Willful obfuscation. If you can pay, ours is the ‘best’ (arguably but I will concede that). For most of us it’s demonstrably inferior to several single-payer systems world-over.

    >the paper that hires people who make up stories whole sale. Remember the Blair incident?

Wow, is the way you think you can counter an argument? 1) NYT times hired Blair 2) Blair made up stories … ergo, “NYT hired Blair TO make up stories”. Hold the applause.

    >As opposed to tolerating rants by Kruger et al, at the NYTimes?

The NYT has several right wingish commentators (for balance, that bugaboo that the Left needs to face.) However, it’s not Souza’s rant in Forbes that was reprehensible, its that the Repub. establishment (Gingrich, Palin) quoted from it and praised it. And the level of “ranting” of Kruger et al is hardly comparable to Souza and others.

Now, if only Molly Ivins, bless her soul, were here…
