  1. bxgrl, speaking of, I also have some papers I want to donate to the 9-11 Museum at Ground Zero. Not sure why I saved them, and I’m sure a lot of people have similar papers to donate, but I have at least a dozen pieces of papers from the Towers that blew to Brooklyn on 9-11 and landed on my stoop, my roof, and in my garden. Some of them are so pristine it’s as if someone handed them to you; others are burned beyond recognition; and others are singed around the edges. Many are from AON, where I had a client on the 105th Floor of the South Tower — took me 10 days to confirm she had survived.

  2. It has been 3 months since my dog died, and I still miss him alot. I especially miss Sunday mornings. I would get up early, and go for a long walk with him.

Mrs. Benson has changed her mind. We are going to get a new dog, in a month or so. She was thinking of my Sunday morning walks when she changed her mind.

  3. CGar- email me with what you’re thinking of donating. I have a friend who used to be curator at the Museum of the City of NY- she’s at the 9-11 Museum now- and she knows all about the procedures and who to contact. I’ll give you her info.

  4. “I’m giving legiondog a hug when I get home.
even though he’ll just get up an leave the
room, like he always does when I bug him.”

LMAO, Legion! CDog does the exact same thing to me. Last night, I was watching an old episode of Mad Men, when Duck Philips takes his family dog to the lobby of the office building at night, opens the front door, unclips the leash, and lets the dog go on Madison Avenue. Duck walks away, and the dog is last seen standing on the sidewalk looking into the empty lobby through the glass doors. Very upsetting. I hate scenes like that. I know there are people who really do those kinds of things to dogs — and much worse — but I just can’t understand it. So CDog got a big hug, and seemed miffed that I awoke her from a perfectly good nap.

And I know the statue of Balto of which you speak.
