As always, Bob Herbert writes a great column. Palidino lovers might want to read it.
“you might want to lighten up on the damnation of your political opponents” So says the man who singularly has trashed quite a few women on this board.
If I’m trying to suggest anything, it is that you might want to lighten up on the damnation of your political opponents (which is what Lech was trying to get at, I think).
Benson, your late night snipes are hilarious. So too is your trying to make some kind of gotcha moment out of my comments, both of which I stand by. You may have noticed that I am not running for or holding office, or preaching from a pulpit, so whatever I say or do means nothing to most, if not all, of the world. I don’t hold myself as some kind of leader of men. I also have pretty empty closets. While you are trying to catch me in some hypocricy, there is none. I am just expressing my opinion. And in that opinion, I find the Brooklyn Tea Party, and most certainly their leader, to be a raving xenophobe wrapped in the flag. End of story.
Just as an observation, regarding those in so called leadership roles, politics and religion specifically – those who pontificate the loudest, damn the loudest, and make the loudest pronouncements on other people’s lifestyles and life choices usually have brontosaurus sized skeletons in their own closets, and are the biggest hypocrits on the planet. The louder and more Cotton Mather-like they are, the higher the chances they’ve done, or are doing, worse than anything the people they are damning have done.”
and then….

I see on the Blogwrap that the Brooklyn Tea Party is not exactly selling out. Please read the article and then tell me they aren’t the usual xenophobes wrapped in the flag.”
i used to vote solely democrat – but i think this year i’m going to do a little more research about the candidates and choose my vote according to who i think would win in a wfc style cage match.
actually – wouldn’t THAT fix american politics? instead of campaigning and trying hard to raise money and bullshit – just throw all the candidates in a ring and the last person alive wins.
Ok. late in the day but time to have some fun. Paladino? An ass to his wife and his kids. He made his son complicit in his treating his marriage like trash. And his timing? Yeah…. Exactly the kind of thinking we need in politicians….not. that whole arrogant I’m the king of the world BS. Add to that his take on those racist emails he sent around- let’s just say, he’s no gem. And he’s going to talk about same-sex marriage? And has no problem denying women rights? He’s a dog. A hypocritical dog.
That said, I don’t care about how he f*cks up his private lief- it’s his problem. What I care about is how he thinks, how he treats people and how far he is willing to shove his personal “moral”code on the rest of us. And I care about that with any politician.

“I believe the video in this case, is appropriate…the song certainly is.”
RE: Video: Yes, Dave, I wasn’t going to talk about it here, but I’ve taken a job scrubbing offices. I’m told feather duster skills are superior!
My uniform looks very much like those. But I’d prefer a uniform more like what these gals wear—
