  1. My daughter brought home all her 10-lb-and-up textbooks (the world history book weighs at least 15 lbs, I swear) and leaves them home. They all have bar codes and were registered to her school ID card and the students were told how much they would cost to replace, about $80/each.

She had very heavy math books in grades 3-5 that she had to bring back and forth. One of the parents found the book on Ebay and bought a copy for home. The books were ancient and it was very cheap.

  2. jessi, my mother refused to let my sister have the diamond from her the wedding ring from my father — they were divorced 21 years earlier — because she thought it was a “cursed diamond”. Instead, I sold the diamond, and my mother gave me sister the money toward her wedding instead.

  3. “Jessi, if a freaking ring is more important than the feelings of his fiance, she should forget about the ring and dump him.”

I agree. If they can’t work this out, and they’re not sexually compatible, then fuggeddabowdit.

  4. quote:
Some kids are still using books with Dubya as our current president.

that doesnt matter much cuz in most history classes they never actually get to the end of the book. and new versions of textbooks are mad expensive. good teachers will just add current events lessons in history class throughout the year anyway

    *rob*

  5. jessi, your girlfirend is settling. Tell her to walk away. If he won’t get her a new ring and won’t have sex? Sounds like a life of misery.

Does she have a booty call lined up for wedding night?

  6. “Funny you mention sex, Dave. That’s the other problem they have – she wants it more than he does! THAT might be the dealbreaker. He said she should be happy that he loves her for more than just sex, but she feels rejected and not attractive…”

    GAYDAR going off.
