ditto- yes, for now it’s better for them but as they try to get more automomy I’m afraid the Iraqi government is going to come down hard on them. And now that there are more and more suicide bombings, where will they stand? I certainly expected them to be very happy Saddam was gone, but overall, I stand by what i said. Going into Iraq was the stupidest thing we could have done. Now we are mired in it- even when we finally get out, we’ve created a bigger mess in the ME than there was before. And really damaged ourselves doing it. So as much as I want the Kurds to be independent, I don’t think the price we’re all paying was worth it.
Gem – she’s a friend from high school. I wouldn’t be going if it wasn’t on long island. I’ve already given lots of stuff when she was born, so yeah, the idea of a nice trinket from Tiffany sounds good. Thanks!
I must disagree, the Kurds may not be having fun but they are no longer being murdered by the 10,000, and they are semi-autonomous at the moment. While it may not have benefited the US, it certainly is better for them.

Not sure if this was dealt with somewhere in the 200s or 300s – but WTF? Not sure if the attribution to “my boys from Bushwick” is supposed to insulate Denton from this charge, but even so, pretty damn racist. Disgusting.
