Look at the taxes in the suburbs tho — I looked at places in the rivertowns that had taxes around 25k. After tax dollars tho.
Rob, a lot of schools now just make all food programs free now to avoid the stigma. I don’t know how many kids are hungry but I know a lot eat 95% junk.
Rob, for parents who cant afford the expensive private schools in NYC, the good suburbans aint in their reach either as good ones are expensive and ppty taxes are ridiculous
how does driving thru the ghetto on a bus to get to school equate to culture? you must be being sarcastic. i dont have an internal sarcasm so im just guessing here.
My door in Brooklyn is Fine Paints of Europe with their primer. It was tough to paint. The guys painted the doors already hung. It might have come out better if we painted it horizontally as Dave did. I used low lustre black with is beautiful but the colors are excellent, very rich. It is Dutch.
“newsflash: kids who grow up in the city are no more cultured than kids who grow up in the suburbs, especially these days.”
From personal experience, I’m just not sure. I went to an urban elementary school and took a bus through ghetto-ass neighborhoods on the way there. From middle school on, I went to highly rated white-bread suburban schools. I don’t think I’d be as cultured (or whatever) without the elementary school experience.
I was a suburban kid and I’m not cultured.
(totally agree w/ Rob, btw).
