“Mandelbrot
Godel
Mobius”
Isn’t Mandelbrot that bland tasting, hard cookie (with almonds…yuch!) that Jews eat during Passover? Kind of like the Jewish version of Biscotti which tastes about as bad as the Jewish version of red wine?
Sorry cobble, just saw your comment (back from a mtg).
My point was that worship is an integral part of Christianity, and a vast majority of Christians do it collectively. Obviously there will be a few bedridden (or similar) people who have to worship alone or be visited. In the context of the conversation, the President is not bedridden.
“what about people who live in repressed places where they aren’t allowed to practice their beliefs? And do so in their livingroom or garage or backyard for all I know.”
Hence the careful wording about ‘some kind of Church’ in the initial comment. People taht form their own small Churches in repressive regimes are heroes.
I couldn’t follow all the OT stuff today, but just wanted to say that I loved what Colin Powell said on Meet the Press yesterday about Obama-bashing based on complete nonsense, i.e. he is not American, he is Muslim, and the best….from that doyen of New Age bullshit, Deepak Chopra, that Obama is channeling his dead Kenyan father. When asked about the stance of the Republican party, he asseted that he continues to be a Republican and that he looks forward to dialogue/criticism of the Obama policies based on facts and not on the above.

just don’t ask me to lend you money for the tattoo.
“The right’s insistance on some kind of free-floating six degrees of separation in Obama’s life…”
excellent characterization!
He’s no doubt connected to the What.
Chicago arrested some muslim nutjob who was going to bomb Wrigley Field.
y’ know what? I’m taking back that statement I made that started the OT today. On 2nd thought, I don’t love Mondays.
ditto, is that to sleep on or to dry oneself after showering?
