I don’t even think a realtor from Awaye would call 21st St Park Slope. That’s where the vicinity tag comes in handy.
South Slope is like Kashmir with respect to India and Pakistan. One foot in Slope and one foot in Greenwood. So snappy is in Greenwood and in South Slope, but not Park Slope.
OK, the Kashmir ref. gave me some Led Zep to blast out that awful Part Time PLUSA earworm. Need another shot of Ray, snappy. Can you make it happen?
snappy — GE is good and she does not need to go to the higher end lines like profile. It’s the same mechanics inside, just more bells, whistles and styling. So she shouldn’t get talked into it.
LG has to be one of the more seemless and successful rebrandings in appliance history. AFAIK, the G is from the old Goldstar brand and the L is from something equally cheesy that I can’t recall. I don’t know if the product has been upgraded to fit the rebranding. You can check consumer reports.
I have a Maytag, which is reasonably priced, and after 5 years in my condo, it has held up well.
If she can afford to drop a few more bucks, I would strongly recommend Kitchen-Aid. Kitchen-Aid appliances are really well-made and are built to last. From a total cost-of -ownership POV, they are an excellent value.
Momma Snaps hates Frigidaire because she had a fridge by them and that kept breaking. Had to be replaced 6 times until she and Papa Snaps went stomping back to the store, demanded their money back and left with a GE. She’s on a Frigidaire boycott!
Rob – I too like the batches with more beans in it – ha! and I awalys liked the sour cream they would give you in those weird triangular pouches?!?! – I haven’t had it in over 5 years – do they still have the sour cream pouches?
g10, given boundaries change all the time, we need to keep up with the times. am sure at one point, it was simply BROOKLYN or Mohawk land or something.

M4l – haaaaa fair enough!
but I live in Park slope and so does snaps and Benson doesn’t live in Gowanus now!
Benson is right

snappy all dish washers are pretty much the same.
vile machines that do nothing but re-circulate germs and cause parvo, salmonella, and ring worm. much better and more efficient to wash by hand.
