Neighborhood names and boundries are always evolving. To this day, my 86 year old father has difficulty accepting neighborhood names like Carroll Gardens and Boerum Hill. To him, all that is encompassed by present-day Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill, Gowanus and Park Slope below 6th Ave is a single neighborhood, called simply “South Brooklyn”.
I have to say that I never heard of the name “Greenwood Heights” until about 5-7 years ago. I would simply call everything down to 21st Street “Park Slope”.
wendy’s chilli is to take care of the leftover burger patties. a lot of restaurants do the same with chilli or some other dishes to take care of the leftovers (ie spicy tuna rolls are to take care of tuna that might go bad if not used & sold).
Rob, you’re good with turns-of-phrases, come up with somethng to call the feeling when you are looking at an open eveing in your otherwise full weekly schedule and you suddenly realize – oh! that’s right, my such-and-such is that night.
