  1. I always enjoy getting smacked with a big backpack. Some jerk always has to have the entire inventory of their closet on their back and they keep turning around to see what’s what, knocking over the rest of us. The last time it happened I shoved the back pack. The clown nearly fell over, then looks at me like, “Huh? What’d I do?”

  2. ROFL Donatella! I hate people that beat you with their hair – purchased or otherwise! RUDE! I should really stop taking public transportation and just walk everywhere or get a car. Public transit makes me violent…I often dream of toting scissors to cut the hair of head-whippers and snip the straps of purses and backpacks that I get thwacked with, stick pins to poke the asses of folks on the train who put their butts on the side of the low pole that runs next to the seat I’m sitting in, ooooh the list goes on!

  3. Nice, Snappy. I’ll help you track her down if you want. You are the BUS QUEEN? That is really esoteric knowledge, very valuable. I am newly loving the B25 and B26 down Fulton to Nevins and the nice 4/5 train and a seat. Except for today when I was in a crazed mood and there were more giant asses than ever on the train and I had to stand. NEXT TO A WOMAN WHO HAD A “BUN” comprised to braids that extended 18″ from the back of her head and she kept whipping her head around, SLAMMING ME IN THE HEAD with her gigantic hairdo. For Chrissakes. How much can a person take???!!???

  4. Temporary annoyance, Cobble, but I am happy in the knowledge that her rudeness made her miss the next B45 as it swung around the corner and sped off as she got off the B63 🙂 Karma’s a bitch!

  5. Bxgrl, I hope you are right about the color/stoop thing. I am an agonizer too. I think it was hard for my contractor — the guy who did the original work on the brownstone. He used to say things to me like “these things you can’t buy at Home Depot”. I would say to him that this is an ancient house and you are NOT going to find this stuff at Home Depot and then I would run around buying stuff or making him take back stuff. Or he would stand over me telling me I HAD to make a decision about A, B or C and fast because I was messing up his schedule.

CGar. These are OLD houses. And they have been through hell. It never ceases to amaze me the frugal creativity and wacko short-term fixes from the former owner(s) in keeping this building from falling down. I have been undoing screwy patches and bandaids since I bought the place. Regarding tenants, I had a dousey that I inherited with the place. We parted ways thanks to tenant landlord court and thank god I have had lovely people since then.
