I’ve said before that etiquette and plain ole common sense dictates that when you are getting on the bus, you let others get on before you if you have no idea where you are going and need to engage in a conversation with the driver about the bus’ route. This is especially true when IT’S POURING DOWN RAIN. Woman today leaves about 7 of us standing in the POURING DOWN RAIN to ask the bus driver where the B63 goes. HEY DILLWEED. THERE’S A BIG ASS POLE WITH A BIG ASS MAP RIGHT THERE THAT YOU COULD HAVE CONSULTED. And, she stood there waiting for the bus with us for a good 5 minutes. Instead of ice-grilling me and rolling her eyes at me for NO REASON AT ALL, she could have asked me, the self-professed Brooklyn bus queen, how to get where she needed to be and I could have directed her to the B45. I HATE INCONSIDERATE PEOPLE!
“I am definately suffering from brownstone fatigue. There have been a whole raft of expensive things ($13,000 this year!!).”
I empathize donatella. That (and horrible last tenants) was the main reason I sold my Brownstone. In the last year or so, I spent $33k rebuilding the side wall, parapet and chimneys (I’d never buy a semi-attached house again!), plus countless thousands on a new boiler, new hot water heater, new roof (for which rotted beams had to be sistered), and new skylights.
The roof and wall problems developed due to a slow leak for 8 years due to the people I bought from lying big time about having installed a new roof (pre-NY-housing-Lemon Law unfortch), which couldn’t be determined from the inspection because their repairs were cleverly done to mask the damage.
Yikes, sorry to hear that, Snaps. Sounds like HELL!
“(And I better stop teasing *rob* before he gets pissed at me and blogicides.)”
You say that like it would be a bad thing.

Hello, losers 🙂

“$85 All-Bug Dinner, Anyone?”
Thanks anyway, dave, but for $25 and a pack of smokes, *rob* said I can eat all the bugs I want at his place.

you and every single person on every single show on the HDTV channel last year :-/
*rob*
DIBS, I thought your parlor was more of a turquoise. That color looks more like a pewter blue/grey?
