Donatella- I am a color agonizer. I agonize over every color decision and if I put up a color and don’t like it I have been known to repaint and repaint and repaint. Even when I love a color, I love repainting because it changes the whole room- but some colors have to grow on you. I bet in a week your eye will be more used to the stoop- it’s not that you’re reacting to the color, you’re reacting to the change.

$85 All-Bug Dinner, Anyone?
Yup. The Brooklyn Kitchen is hosting an bug-tasting event on September 18. “The dinner runs $85 a head and includes a four course pairing of edible insects and fine alcohols, like Wax Moth Larvae ceviche and Brooklyn Lager and Grass Hoppers with San Honesto Mezcal,” says Eater. Seems a little extreme to us, but you can purchase tickets here. Looking for a gateway bug? Park Slope’s Chiles & Chocolate is serving their guacamole topped with roasted grasshoppers, the Brooklyn Paper reports.
jessi i think im going to go to that michael jackson thing in the park!!! i might dress my dog up for it too

CGar – read that as mousse and thought you didn’t like your hair product.
Thanks, Cobble. It’s enough with the umbrella already.
And, enough with the peacock and bedbug infestations already!
Speaking of colors, did you all see the news footage of Bloomberg addressing the Islamic dinner in Gracie mansion???
That color was exactly the same as what I painted my parlour!!!!!
