    I’m sorry, but too many people of color, and too many people of good will and sacrifice have died so that I can vote, and you can slap them in the face.

    okay that is valid, but at the same time has nothing to do with me. meaning.. i view it as it’s a great accomplishment that they can vote or not vote. im sorry but voting is not the law. you dont HAVE to. my non vote is just as important as a vote, as long as i have the option to vote. i choose not to for reasons you will NEVER understand.

    yes i believe in the right to vote! but choosing to not take part is just as valid, and there are people who agree on it.

    sorry if my nihilistic outlook on life bothers you.

  2. Tybur6;

    As a person who has worked in the technology field for 30 years, I agree 100% with DIBS. THere has been precious innovation in Europe in the last 40 years. You and CMU refer to mostly established industries (Pharmaceuticals, auto, etc.). I ask: where is the European Google, or Intel, or Cisco, or Apple – companies that created whole new industries and revolutionized society. With the exception of Nokia, there are few, if any.

    I’ll leave off by telling you that the company I work for, a well-known Japanese electronics giant, barely gives Europe a glance when it comes to looking for where the technology world is going.

    11217 was right. Let’s talk about cornices!

    Or porches. Or roofs. Or backyard patio cleaning. Ot garbage.

    Oh, dibs, the sanitation guys took all the garbage I put out yesterday. TONS. Just a few small loose things they left on the sidewalk, so on the recycling day you can put out anything. Also about construction waste, they are required to take up to six contractor bags a day.

    Haha – who cares! He’s freakin rich and bangs hot blonde actresses. I’m sure he’s feelin okay.

  5. DIBS —

    Switzerland and Germany are where an ENORMOUS amount of pharmaceuticals researched and developed.

    Software and computer development is very active in Europe… especially France, Switzerland, Germany and Scandinavia.

    Alternative energy development in Europe, both implementation and the foundational science, is WAAAAAAY ahead of the United States… solar, wind, biomass, etc.

    Also, there are many American corporations that depend on Europeans… Microsoft and Google, for example, both have numerous large campuses throughout Europe.

    What do you want?
