  1. ordinary people was wonderful CGar, so powerful. And Biff, I like the latest list but especially the top three:
    Bicycle Thief (Italian)
    Boyz In The Hood
    Bronx Tale, A

Also, liked House Party (Hudlin Bros), and also She’s gotta have it by Spike lee (but later films of his sucked). Scary film, eye of the needle, Don’t look now , spooky mystery in Venice. Poltergeist!!! Loved Bronx Tale! Loved De Niro in that..

  2. Biff and donatella, I love a lot of movies on your favorites list, but I have so many movie faves, of all different genres, that I’d be hard-pressed to name them all.

Schindler’s List, The Philadelphia Story, It’s A Wonderful Life, Frequency, Tootsie, Field of Dreams, The Godfather I & II, Ordinary People . . . I’m drawing a blank. And totally drawing a blank on foreign films, though I just saw Amelie for the first time and thought it was great.

Biff, have you ever gone to the New York Film Festival? I’ve been a member since 1989, and it’s prolly my main venue for catching foreign films.
