CGar, that is PERFECT! They would miss one another. That is exactly what this guy wants. You couldn’t find a nicer, more solid citizen than this guy (except for you of course).
DH, you are right. He is the ideal roommate and the high rises in Downtown Brooklyn would be perfect. The question is to locate the place and the roommate. I don’t know what happened with his current situation but he is very frustrated looking at awful places on Craigs List and apparantly needs to find something quickly.
rf, you are right, but it just isn’t right for this guy. I don’t think he even wants to furnish a place. If he could have a businessman’s hotel, he would be a happy camper. He is late 50’s Wall Street propeller head with a lot of family stuff in Boston. And he needs a short commute.
“He wants to spend 1600 bucks as his part of the share.
Does anyone have any ideas????”
I may have someone for you, donatella, in a very similar situation. My good friend who sold his apartment in Manhattan and has mostly moved to his house upstate. He spends 2-3 nights/week in the City, and would also like to have a place for the occasional weekend. He wants his own room and bath. But I think he’s looking to spend less. I’ll check and get back to you, babe.

“Biff, buy whatever bag holds your stuff”
rf, I don’t think Biff wants to carry a jockstrap over his shoulder.

Park Slope raccoon story above = good reason not to live near prospect park.
donatella – he could easily find someone who would want to share one of the 2 bedrooms in the downtown brooklyn highrises. He is the ideal roommate!!
Park Slope raccoon story above = good reason to own a gun.
For that money he could get his own one-bedroom in Bed-Stuy, close to the A and 4 stops to Fulton St/Bway Nassau, easy change to the 4-5.
