  1. A friend stayed over last night. He’s in the shower this morning and yells out “Do you have any shampoo?”
I tell him it’s next to the conditioner. He barks back that it’s for color treated hair and he’s not gonna use that.

I ripped apart my linen/toiletries closet and found a travel size shampoo.
When you stay over people’s houses don’t you bring your own toiletries? Sheesh!

  2. “The major media is a failure because they look down on any view that does not fall in line with their overwhelmingly liberal tendencies.”

Yeah, OK. This is the same, tired argument conservatives have made for nearly 30 years, and the basis for the journalistic tricknology practiced by “conservative” outlets. I’m not buying.

  3. “our established “media” is not even reporting important
    stories in an objective manner.”

Wrong. I’m sure that’s what you’d like people to believe, though.

The top-drawer, established media outlets (like anything else) are certainly not perfect. However they still represent the best and most objective news sources we have.

Moreover, they are increasingly under-resourced as the news gathering business has collapsed in the Internet era, and sensationalist “media” with their wild assertions and accusations have gained a foothold with a public searching the tidal wave of broadcast and electronic information for valid perspective.

Here is an example of a very important story reported (thankfully) by “established media: http://tinyurl.com/39hxnqk

Unfortunately, st like these fly under the radar, in part because not only are editorial staffs at established outlets shrinking, but dangerous people like Rupert Murdoch and his minions are steadily replacing legitimate news sources with misinformation and lies.

  4. quote:
“i dont think stuyvesant town was a waste of taxpayer money back when it was first built as it was affordable housing for the TRULY middle and working class.”

As long as they weren’t Black.

yeah, that little part of the history of stuy town is pretty grim actually.

    *rob*

  5. What I don’t get is when they told her to text (!!!) in her resignation, she meekly complied. WTF? Why didn’t she tell ’em where to get off…”No, I won’t resign, and if you fire me and you’ll get sued for millions and I’m copying this to all the media etc.”

Guess that’s why I work for myself, I’d tell my boss where he can jump.
