Sure do remember Kupferberg and the Fugs. A thousand years ago I was part of a group that did training for “peace keepers” at demonstrations – and one night, Kupferberg and half of the Living Theatre collective (including Beck and Malina) attended a training session. Most memorable evening..the LES was a whole different place then – no “Alphabet Soup” and some really innovative performance artists

Speaking of the door, I am having a hard time getting it installed. Nathan’s contractor disappeared back to Russia, my old GC seems not to want to be bothered, and another guy went back to Ireland.
Question for owners of properties in “landmarked” areas…
Does Verizon, National Grid, DOT and Sewers have to go the the Landmark commission to get permission to spray paint crosses, lines, numbers and other unintelligible codes on my bluestone???????? ????? !!!! ?????
I now have mustard yellow crosses, arrows in a red somewhere between blood red and coral all over my bluestone. Most of this is the work of Verizon marking the work they have done in the street. Eventually I will try to get this sh*t off but for crying out loud, what a mess. Is this necessary??? Isn’t there some kind of compromise? Do they take this off?
