It’s been pouring in Bed-Stuy for a while now, almost an hour I think. Finally! All those clouds and all that humidity on Saturday but hardly any rain for weeks! Of course we were sitting at the tables behind Fairway eating yummy food on Sunday when the thunder started, after 6 drops all day Saturday.
Legion, you overgrown child, I HAVE them, but didn’t say I looked at them recently!!! (Just kidding) My friends’ father owned a newsstand and used to bring them home by the box every time they came out with a new series, and we’d rip open every package in the box until we each of the three of us had the complete series. I eventually got rid of all of mine (being the dope that I am), but kept one mint condition card from each series. I keep them in those plastic baseball card protectors. Next time you’re in my ‘hood, playing pool or summin’, I’ll show you the collection. I don’t know that I have a favorite — too many great ones. (PS Only interested in the originals, not the nouveau Wacky Packages!!)

and the Hostess Snowballs showing some guy
getting clobbered with an ice ball. 😉
