  1. Biff, I don’t know yet, but my brother just got me a new HP laptop with Windows 7, and I’m trying to figure out how to connect to the TV. I was never able to figure out how to connect my PC with Vista to the TV, but I’m told it’s theoretically much easier with Windows 7. Denton? Denton?

  2. morning all!
I went to the Park Slope House Tour – was supposed to go with my mom until she cancelled last minute so I went alone which was mighty grown up of me – but it was really cool
did anyone else go? my favorite of course weren’t the houses dripping in original detail but the house on Garfield closer to 6th avenue that they redid – wow! – it was amazing especially the huge deck off the master bedroom
but why oh why is there always someone on a house tour that acts like they know everything and are hell-bent on criticising the owners choices – ugh!

5th avenue fair was a lot of fun!

  3. Rob — I guess that was my point. I’m not saying there wasn’t a lot of crap. I’m saying, at the Manhattan Street Fairs, every 3 blocks is a EXACT copy of the previous 3 blocks. I think they might even be designed that way. You walk 30 block or you walk 5 blocks… and there’s nothing new.

The 5th Ave Fair actually had different things on each block.

Of course, the best street fair of the year is the Atlantic Antic or whatever it’s called.

  4. Any techie geeks out there? I saw the commercial for Windows 7 that indicates one can stream pictures, videos, etc. from one’s laptop to the television. I knew that could be done via Xbox, but how can one do it without an Xbox?

  5. quote:
I always thought it was amazing how the Manhattan street fairs stretch for 30+ blocks, but it’s really just 3 blocks of stuff (crap) repeated over and over and over again. Seriously retahded

um im sorry but there was just as much crap at 5th avenue fair. it’s just that there were lots of better vendors interspersed throughout because lots of the local shops participatwed

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!! OMG i didnt mention it, on saturday i saw a crime go down!!! this woman comes running down the street chasing some guy who shoplifted in her clothing store.. it was a shop on 5th avenue around 3rd street, the show owner was a carribean woman and i think it was just womens clothing or something.. anyway she chased the guy down and made him give the clothes back except he still had more shoved down his pants lol. like 15 people were there gawking and all calling 311 or 911 or 411 , whichever one it is youre supposed to call during an emergency.. i hope she got her clothes back
