  1. benson, Where would you and your family be without health insurance? Do you ever consider this? Your good wife? Your good daughter? What would your standard of living be if they couldn’t get insurance and you had to pay for everything they need out of pocket?

  2. “Can someone explain to me what the heck this lofty statement actually means? Does it mean three preventative visits a year? Does it mean 20 in-vitro fertilization attempts at the taxpayer’s expense? Does it mean that folks who don’t take care of their health (eating poorly, overweight, smoking) should be able to pick my pocket for unlimited reactionary treatments? Does it mean paying high prices for doctors because of high mal-practive insurance premiums?” – good questions – but you could be accused of ‘death panel’ advocate seriously raising them.

  3. Benson,

An example of entitlement gone awry:

    In our current society,
it is not fair to ask who paid for Octamom’s 12 kids,
who the father is, if she is even fit for parenthood and what effects her irresponsibility will have on her children.
and yet she is elevated to pseudo celebrity status by our ravenous pop culture for both amusement and ridicule as our society continues to implode around her.

  4. “70% of Americans in Arizona agree with the Governor’s Bill.”

    Source?

“Of course our current President, is not one for “state’s rights” as he’s in the midst of consolidating power into the White House.”

I thought the Civil War was over?

  5. “I’m not anti-illegal, I’m pro-legal immigration and I know plenty of people who have family waiting in line around the world.”

I hear you Legion. I’ve actually been to Cuiudad Juarez and El Paso several times, and I understand that in that part of the country particularly, illegal immigration a huge problem. It is without question a problem the country must tackle.

That said, the Arizona law is at best a shot-in-the-dark stopgap measure and at worst misguided and un-American. More importantly, it won’t make that area any safer, but will spread more fear and distrust where it already exists.
