Can someone explain to me what the heck this lofty statement actually means? Does it mean three preventative visits a year? Does it mean 20 in-vitro fertilization attempts at the taxpayer’s expense? Does it mean that folks who don’t take care of their health (eating poorly, overweight, smoking) should be able to pick my pocket for unlimited reactionary treatments? Does it mean paying high prices for doctors because of high mal-practive insurance premiums?
70% of Americans in Arizona agree with the Governor’s Bill.
American citizens have a right to protect themselves and their state.
Of course our current President, is not one for “state’s rights” as he’s in the midst of consolidating power into the White House.
So call this a test of his will.
He will have many such challenges from Americans and their elected officials not so eager to roll over and play dead to the over-reaching hand of Washington.

NYC banned any new parades a few years ago.
is that true? why? jeez. i thought they just shortened them for monitary reasons. is the reason they banned any new ones because of the recession? or did they ban that before the recession hit? that said, im not a fan of parades. i got punky brewstered in a parade once, and that was NOT fun!
“the most neglected minority in NYC politics is the conservatives.”
That’s true. Maybe we should get a parade like all the others.
Sorry, etson. NYC banned any new parades a few years ago. That said, we could certainly be part of a lot of other parades. Can you see a Conservatives float in the PR day Parade, Gay pride parade, Polish Day Parade????
Dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition.

rob, the new parade ban happened before the downturn but you’re right, the shortening of the parade length and time was because of the downturn.
None of this had anything to do with anything Goldman Sachs did but some here will blame it on them.
“Healthcare should be a basic fundamental right.”

Statements like this one are meaningless.

“Plus I’m much more articulate on paper than in person. . . . I could be Rob Lowe on the West Wing.”
Well, I think you’re a blithering idiot on paper, as well as in person, MM, but that would prolly just make you a great politician.
And I often mistake you with Rob Lowe. And him with you.
😉
“Maybe we should get a parade like all the others.” – I think the St Pat’s is conservatives parade in disguise…and in drag for some of them (kilts).
bxgrl,
Read the bill, before calling your fellow Americans Brownshirts.
