  1. MM and Bxgrl,

    simply put,
    your arguments are inherently illogical,
your premise is that the people that
are placed in charge of enforcing our nation’s
laws cannot be trusted to do their jobs.
while abuse of power is certainly a concern,
it seems that we as a nation have had plenty
of experience over hundreds of years to inform
ourselves on proper implementation of policies
    regarding these laws enforcement protocols.

Your arguments in a nutshell seem to be that
because there is the potential for abuse of
a law, the law should not be enacted.
Despite it being the expressed will of the people.

Sorry, at some point the rubber has to hit the road,
there is legitimate concern at the border states,
from narco-terrorism, to lawlessness to outright disregard
    for our nation’s sovereignty.

I am afraid that too many people feel that it is a given
in this day and age that this nation does not have a right
to defend and define it’s sovereignty.

And sorry some things transcend the issue of race even though this is somehow what it always boils down to in our discussions here.

    I’m not having it,
that’s the very reason I posted the Supreme court decision involving Officer Maldonado.

Race is not everything in this country. It is one of many issues and we cannot get bogged down in racial issues just because we are too afraid to address the problems at hand directly.

  2. damn sorry about the double post. my refresh key was stuck on stupid i guess.

Hiya Snappy! Me thinks racism is here until little green people come down and fricassee us. then we can all unite as humans and hate on them

  3. “It’s misguided, will be ineffective in preventing illegal immigration, and espouses principles that are in my opinion wholly un-American.”

    Agree, ENY.

“Ah, it must be so nice to be able to look at the Arizona policy as nothing more than a good-natured attempt at stemming the tide of illegal immigration. ”

I think this is exactly it, Snaps. I think legion sees the world in a very different rose-tinted-glasses-naive way. It’s a little stunning to me, frankly. I didn’t really ever get that about him until today.

  4. snaps- I remember the days well- everytime we walked past cops, we got those hard stares, got stopped several times too. Ans I happen to love cops- I know so many great ones. But sticking our heads in the sand about this is not helping. It’s real and it’s ongoing, no matter how much Legion would like to think it doesn’t exist.

Jack, next time for sure! I wanted to know how your family is doing? I know you have family in Haiti and hope all is well.
